Ty Dowda

Ty is a storyteller who’s always searching for meaningful ways to connect. Whether it’s through music or a camera, at his core, Ty believes in creating art with people versus for people. He spends his days as an Art Director at Fallon Advertising, helping ideas come to life in ways that make people feel something. Outside of work, Ty loves thrifting for fashion finds, throwing down in a cycle class, and sharing good food with the people he loves. Being part of Known MPLS has been a grounding reminder of the power of community, creativity, and spirituality — and how beautiful it is when all three come together.

Growing up, I often felt like I didn’t quite fit in — like there wasn’t a space where all the parts of me could exist together. But with Known MPLS, I’ve found a place where I fit in just right. It’s more than a choir to me — it’s a family that celebrates who I am and encourages who I’m becoming. Known MPLS has given me a whole new sense of confidence when it comes to music. It’s pushed me to dream bigger and trust my voice — not only on stage, but in the process of creating, collaborating, and believing in myself. Being part of this community has reminded me that what once made me feel different is exactly what makes me belong.
