For the Transitioners

I am speaking to those who find it hard to answer questions like A) What is new in your life? B) What does the future look like for you? When you are in transition, questions like this aren’t just conversational. They create a whole tornado spiral of contemplation and uncertainty. There are seasons where our answer to careers, relationships, and decisions is no answer. Not saying that the Lord isn’t speaking, but there’s just interference in the connection.

I hope it doesn’t come as a surprise that we WILL go through thought trials that will press and prune us for good reason. When we follow God, we will experience moments that feel like we are carrying crosses of our own. Matthew 11:28 tells us “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. God is always telling us that we do not have to carry it on our own and in fact, tells us to give it to him (Psalms 55:22). These are the times when having a village who are holding you up and uplifting you with their faith and praying for you is essential if you are privileged to have that. For those who may not, never forget that you are NEVER alone God is always with you and to show you his abundant love, he sends a specific angel assigned to guard and protect us from the enemy in our most vulnerable times.

On the other hand, there are those living on “Cloud nine” as they call it. Where you got the job you worked tirelessly for, you got the relationship you’ve prayed for, you are waking up full of gratitude and Love. In as few terms as possible… such a sunshine-and-rainbows season.

What about the transitioners? The ones who are called to just sit, rest, and recover. In this season God wants to speak to YOU; the doors are closed, the lights are dim and the noises that try to distract you are shut down by God. This is an intervention! You can’t run because there’s nowhere to run to. This is the in-between that not many people talk about. I’m here to bring encouragement to the transitioners. You were promised something from the Lord in a previous season and you are being molded through the fruits of the Spirit to access the blessing. The Lord doesn’t just give a word and leave us to fend for ourselves; he planted the seed of faith and holds our hand through the process. The Lord is so Sovereign he gives us servants to encourage us, sends us messages covered with love throughout, and multiplies our blessing once we get what we’ve prayed for. You may be identifying yourself in this place, and believe me when I say this…. YOU AREN’T ALONE I am in the transition myself right now. There have been many nights where I’ve lost hope, cried myself to sleep, had to sing a song of worship to remind my spirit where God is, and give God thanks even if my body tried to protest against it. Faith is determined by WHO God is period, not by who he is depending on the season. He remains the same; trials bless us with a chance to see him and identify him with a different name. The Healer, Defender, Righteous Judge, Sovereign One, Almighty King, Father, Begotten Son, The Good Shepherd, The Ancient of Days, The All-Consuming Fire, The Prince of Peace, etc.

To put my thoughts in conclusion no matter what season you identify yourself in, God is working in all of them. The promise he made to you before you stepped into the season you’re in still stands; his word always breathes new and fresh oxygen to our lungs. So be encouraged and rejoice in who he is and what he has done (Psalms 105:5)
