Our anniversary may have been in July, but in August, we took some time to celebrate 7 incredible years of Known MPLS together!
And what better way to celebrate than with a little friendly competition?
Our Known family came together for a Field Day filled with games, laughter, food, competition and plenty of memories. In the middle of everything we do, moments like these matter. Known has always been about more than the music. It’s about relationships, community and creating a space where people know they belong.
Seven years later, that continues to be at the heart of who we are.

🎤 Known MPLS x Minnesota Lynx 🏀
This month brought another unforgettable opportunity as Known MPLS took the court at Target Center for the Minnesota Lynx!
Courtland was joined by Katira, Joaria, Andre, Jonathan and Camaja for an incredible performance celebrating strength, purpose and the power of women.
Katira led the group in a powerful rendition of “Rise Up,” followed by Camaja leading “Superwoman.”
We’re incredibly proud of our singers for continuing to represent Known MPLS with excellence wherever we go. Opportunities like these allow our members to do more than perform. They build confidence, gain professional experience and share their gifts on some of our city’s biggest stages.

🎤 Sharing the Stage with Bon Iver
What an unforgettable weekend! VIDEOS
Four members of the Known MPLS family: Courtland, Katira, Camaja, and Jonathan, had the incredible opportunity to sing background vocals for Bon Iver during his special Bob Dylan tribute set, “Bon Dylan.” Sharing the stage with such an iconic artist was an unforgettable experience and a true honor.
The following day, Known MPLS took the stage and delivered a performance we’ll never forget. The energy was electric, and the response from the audience was overwhelming. We were met with so much love and encouragement from those in attendance.
One of the most meaningful moments came immediately after our performance when Justin Vernon greeted us backstage. He was visibly emotional, expressed how much he loved our set, and shared his excitement about working with us again. Moments like these remind us that music has the power to move people in ways words often cannot.

A select group of Known MPLS singers teamed up with standout Minneapolis solo artists to become the choir for Snoop Dogg’s Christmas halftime performance.
What started in the Twin Cities landed on a global stage—voices united, cultures connected, and excellence on full display. An unforgettable moment of collaboration, celebration, and BIG KNOWN ENERGY.
A Night with the King
A Night with the King was a sold-out, three-act experience designed to tell the story of Christ through worship, artistry, and community. Hosted with warmth and intention by the incomparable Maya Marchelle, the evening invited the audience into a sacred celebration—from reverent storytelling to joyful Christmas classics to high praise that filled the room with energy and hope.
On February 15, Known MPLS was leading at Fellowship Minneapolis… and something special happened. Cory Henry walked in. Yes. That Cory Henry. What started as a regular worship moment turned into something unforgettable. We had the honor of hearing him sing — and then lifting our voices with him. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. Music connects. Worship unites. Excellence recognizes excellence. Cory Henry is one of the most gifted musicians and vocalists of our generation, and for him to share space with our choir meant more than we can put into words. Grateful. Honored. Inspired.
