Effortlessly blending humor into conversations while inspiring faith-based hope and positivity in my music.

Godgift Iteghete, a.k.a G.O.I (pronounced Joy), born April 13, 2000, in Lagos, Nigeria, and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a passionate singer, songwriter, rapper, and poet who has spent the past decade honing her craft. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Engineering, Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (ESTEEM). G.O.I has been a member of Known MPLS since November 2024, where she found a nurturing community that has helped her grow both spiritually and musically.

During the day, she works as a cybersecurity technical strategy consultant, helping higher education institutions improve their IAM current state architectures. On weekends, she leads worship at Perazim Church, joyfully blending her faith and musical talents. In April 2024, she released her first single; “Something Different”, followed by her latest project, the REDEDICATION EP, in February 2025. Beyond music and work, she enjoys going to the gym, traveling and trying new restaurants, always seeking fresh experiences.

Known MPLS has been my training ground, pushing me to become a better worship leader, artist, and overall creative. I initially joined looking for a community of like-minded people and a space to sing regularly, but what I found was a welcoming family. Known MPLS is more than a choir; it’s a space that draws out the raw and true nature of each member’s talent. Over nearly a year here, I’ve grown in ways I never expected; both spiritually and musically. I’ve met some of my closest sisters in Christ, and with our great leader’s guidance, I am continually encouraged to rise to my fullest potential.
