Devoted. God-fearing. Passionate — lifting my voice to worship, lead, and inspire.

Naomi Nichols, born in 2003 and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a proud member of the University of Minnesota Class of 2027, pursuing a degree in Strategic Communication with a focus on Advertising & Public Relations. From a young age, Naomi discovered a deep love for music, which eventually led her to become an original member of Known MPLS, a community-based choir that has profoundly shaped her personal and artistic journey.

When Naomi first joined Known MPLS, she was a shy singer, unsure of her voice and hesitant to step into the spotlight. Through the support of the choir and her growing relationship with Jesus, Naomi found the courage to embrace her gift and step into leadership. Known MPLS became more than just a choir—it became a place of transformation. Naomi’s journey led her to lead the choir in singing the Star-Spangled Banner at an NFL game, and her solo performance of “Peace” at Paisley Park earned her a mention in the Star Tribune, marking a powerful moment in her growth as a vocalist. Her experience with Known MPLS also sparked a deep passion for worship leading, as she discovered the joy and purpose of using her voice to glorify God and uplift others. Through music and ministry, Naomi has become a more confident singer, a compassionate leader, and a devoted worshipper. Along the way, she has cultivated friendships that will last a lifetime, rooted in shared faith, music, and community.

Naomi’s story is a testament to the transformative power of music, faith, and belonging—and how stepping out in courage can lead to a life of purpose and praise.
